STUMP GRINDING

When you’re ready to get rid of a tree stump, you have two options: stump grinding and stump removal. While both have their benefits, our stump grinding services are sure to leave you satisfied with your choice.

Stump grinding is less intrusive to your yard, which means that you don’t have to worry about ruined landscaping or a leftover pit, especially if the stump is near important structures such as a flower bed or swimming pool.

Stump removal removes every part of the tree’s roots, requiring digging and cutting. Stump grinding uses machines to grind the surface level of the stump, disturbing less area. After we grind your stump, the roots will decay underground.

Due to the less intensive nature of stump grinding, it is a faster process, leaving you with a clear yard in no time.

Stump grinding has the added benefit of the remaining chip pile, which can be used to fill in the hole from the stump or even as mulch in your plant beds.

Once a tree is removed, you may wonder if you can simply leave the stump in your yard. However, stumps can cause a number of issues on your property:

  • Pests: A decaying stump offers a plentiful food source for a variety of pests, which can infest your yard and even make their way to your home. When you properly remove a stump, you can keep your yard safeguarded against pests.
  • Hazard: A stump presents a danger in a trafficked area. People can trip over the protrusion and injure themselves. You can also damage machinery like a lawnmower if it gets too close. These issues can lead to frustrations as well as possible injury lawsuits.
  • Eyesore: Even without those other problems, a stump creates an unsightly feature on your lawn, disrupting your landscaping and decreasing the space you have to expand your lawn or add structures to your property.

You don’t have to worry about these issues though when you call CBH Stump Grinding. Our stump removal services will get rid of the stump quickly and effectively so that you can move forward with any yard designs or landscaping you want.

We generally grind four to six inches below grade (ground level). If deeper grinding is needed, it can be requested, although the price of stump grinding may increase. The depth to which a stump can be ground is subject to some limitations

For example: By the Diameter of the Stump – The average price per diameter is $3, and most companies charge a minimum of $100. If you have multiple stumps to grind, you should figure out the average diameter of the bunch, multiply it by the number of stumps and then multiply that by the amount that is charged per inch.

Stump grinding also requires machinery, but not of the same kind as stump removal. Usually, a stump grinder is brought in, which is much more forgiving to your yard than the heavy-duty machines used for removal. With the stump grinder, tree removal experts usually grind the stump down to a few inches below the soil.

Hauling

Exact weight is recommended and will ensure that the trailer is not loaded too heavy for safe travel and or be subject to regulatory fines.

We primarily use straps to secure flatbed loads but also chains if needed

We can haul pretty much any freight that our equipment will legally allow us to haul safely. Talk with our shipping specialists for specifics.

Quotes can change with capacity, market changes, and the price of fuel.

Accessorial charges are services provided outside of our normal pickup and delivery. These can include inside delivery, waiting times, fuel surcharges, storage, etc.

Shed moving

The 12 ft wide sheds are almost 12 ft wide at the eave to stay under the limit for moving on Florida highways without an escort vehicle.

It depends on the shed size. We will need at least 2 feet wider than the building size. We will need 14 feet 10 inches room from the ground shed to top of shed while it is loaded on the trailer. We would not need as much on the smaller sheds. Ask our sales rep for full details. We also need room to maneuver the shed, trailer, and truck.

Clean and empty storage shed for transport: YES. Your shed is going to be heavy. Reduce the weight by removing all contents.

The cost to move a storage shed will depend on the method you use. If you hire a transport company, your rate will depend on the total distance required for transporting your shed, its size, the effort needed to load it, and much more. To see what it might cost to move your specific storage or garden shed with us. Please call us 321 863 1288

Buildings up to 10 feet wide and 20 feet long can be moved with minimal pre-move planning.  These moves are done on a truck and shed trailer combination.
